A team of ace mechanics and designers transforms mundane or even junky autos into unique custom cars under the watchful eye of auto design legend Chip Foose. After a creative ruse gets each car into the shop, the work is done unbeknown to the cars' owners, deserving folks like returning veterans or people who are down on their luck, and each episode concludes with a surprise unveiling of the revamped ride. In the series eight premiere, Clyde asks Chip to give his wife Vera a special surprise - a new lease of life for her 1962 Porsche 356. Can the A-team turn it into a motoring marvel? The team will be lumped with a tattered Sunbeam Tiger to turn into something that can really roar, and Chip turns his old work van into something race-worthy.
