Returning series ‘Railroad Alaska', follows an elite crew of railway workers as they battle ferocious weather and treacherous terrain to keep the State of Alaska's critical, 500-mile long, railroad rolling through the extreme winter. The Alaska Railroad is America's last remaining full service freight and passenger railroad - remote settlers and vacationers travel on the same tracks as military hardware, medicine, food and chemicals. It's a vital artery shuttling both cargo and people through a vast wilderness and if the train doesn't get through locals can be stranded without supplies. This series, a hungry bear is on the loose, offgridder Dan Mawhinney faces a race against time to airlift his stranded snow machine out of the frozen tundra, and an avalanche causes mayhem.
