Royal Navy Caribbean Patrol

Discovery Channel takes viewers aboard the Royal Navy warship, HMS Manchester, as she embarks on her final deployment documented by ‘Royal Navy Caribbean Patrol'. For the 286 men and women on board this Type 42 Destroyer, their seven-month tour of duty takes them right into the heart of the action as the ageing ship hunts down some of the world's most ruthless and determined drug smugglers. Several weeks into the assignment, HMS Manchester, sails to the volcanic island of Montserrat for a routine visit, but a chance spotting of a 'go-fast' boat speeding through an exclusion zone, soon leads to a dramatic chase. And during hurricane season, when the vessel is not scouring the seas for drugs cartels, the crew are on urgent storm alert ready to respond to the needs of any of the local islands stricken by killer winds.
