The force is strong Thursday nights with back-to-back premieres of two of Animal Planet’s finest law enforcement series. Beginning Thursday, June 2, at 9 PM ET/PT, Maine’s NORTH WOODS LAW returns for an all-new season with 11 episodes full of unexpected twists and shakeups. Immediately following, viewers are introduced to Texas’ elite game wardens in the series premiere of LONE STAR LAW at 10 PM ET/PT.

The Maine Warden Service is back on patrol throughout the 18 million acres of rugged woods of the Pine Tree State on NORTH WOODS LAW. As one of the nation’s original guardians of the great outdoors, there isn’t much this group hasn’t seen, and this season is no different. The game wardens snare a pair of brothers who are aiming to poach deer, scramble to save a tangled great blue heron, diffuse a volatile situation when a hunting family gets confrontational, and bring closure to one of the most confounding mysteries in Maine Warden Service history. With people and wildlife increasingly sharing territory, the game wardens must work together to ensure all laws are obeyed.

The saying is true: everything is bigger in Texas, including the jobs of the Texas Game Wardens who protect the Lone Star State’s wildlife and more than 27 million citizens. LONE STAR LAW features the men and women of this elite patrol force who look out for more than a quarter-million squares miles of deserts, lakes, piney woods, bayous, plains and coast. The Texas Game Wardens encounter many dangerous situations that affect citizens and animals. At a moment’s notice, they must rush to investigate large-scale poaching cases, save victims from flash floods, disrupt illegal smuggling operations along the Gulf of Mexico and rescue injured wildlife. The Texas Game Wardens have their hands full every day, protecting both animals and citizens, and with Texas being the second largest state in the U.S., there seems to be no slowing down any time soon.

NORTH WOODS LAW and LONE STAR LAW are produced by Engel Entertainment for Animal Planet. For NORTH WOODS LAW, Steven Engel is the executive producer and Andy Seestedt is the co-executive producer for Engel Entertainment. For LONE STAR LAW, Steven Engel is the executive producer and Ben Shank and Chris Webb Young are the co-executive producers for Engel Entertainment. For Animal Planet, Lisa Lucas is the executive producer and Meredith Russell is the associate producer.
