(Silver Spring, Md.) - Investigation Discovery rolls out the red carpet this August with the return of star-studded hit series hosted by some of ID's most beloved personalities, from Emmy Award-winning journalist Paula Zahn and queen of daytime soap Susan Lucci to former F.B.I. criminal profiler Candice DeLong and homicide hunter Lt. Joe Kenda.

The month kicks off with new seasons of ID's longest running original series. First, tour the mind of infamous accused-ax-murderer Lizzie Borden in the season premiere of DEADLY WOMEN with Candice DeLong on Friday, August 1 at 9/8c, followed by the landmark 100th episode at 10/9c. In her signature spitfire style, DeLong offers candid and unparalleled expert insight into the psychology behind women who kill. Then, ID's original long-form journalism franchise ON THE CASE WITH PAULA ZAHN is back Sunday, August 3 at 10/9c. Follow Zahn as she personally interviews people directly touched by fascinating crime investigations, resulting in riveting interviews that reveal the raw emotion each tragedy has left behind.

Rounding out August is the season premiere of DEADLY AFFAIRS with Susan Lucci on Saturday, August 16 at 9/8c. No stranger to steamy scandals and deadly dalliances, daytime darling Lucci exposes passionate love affairs turned crimes of passion that demonstrate just how fatal some ill-fated attractions can be. Last but certainly not least, go back on the hunt with HOMICIDE HUNTER: LT. JOE KENDA beginning Tuesday, August 19 at 10/9c. Kenda, a 25-year veteran of Colorado's homicide investigation unit with one of the highest case-closure rates in the country, unseals case files of the most disturbing cases still haunting him, today, and revisits his first case ever this season.

"Paula, Susan, Joe, and Candice and all the Faces of ID are not just charismatic hosts, preeminent experts, and pioneers in their fields, but truly the hardest working and most loyal talent in television," said Henry Schleiff, Group President of Investigation Discovery, Destination America, American Heroes Channel, and Discovery Fit & Health. "This month, we are particularly proud to join Candice, our killer queen expert and, indeed, partner in crime, in celebrating 100 episodes of DEADLY WOMEN."

ID's full August programming lineup includes:

In the season premiere at 9/8c, after generations and generations of curiosity surrounding Lizzie Borden, DeLong delves into the psyche of infamous ax-wielding killer - or is she? "A killer needs three things to commit a homicide: motive, opportunity, and means. Lizzie Borden has all of those," DeLong says.
